Flip Flap Workshop and a Prayer

In April we had fun with FLIP FLAPS..... Using the Bliss paper we made a beautiful title page that opened up into two full pages across.  Our little group that meets each month has had great fun with the fact that we proclaim there are 'no rules'.  I have loved watching each strike out on our projects and make little changes to the 'plan' expressing their own creativity.  In truth, most of the time, if something is an eighth of an inch off it really does not matter.  But when it comes to a flip flap workshop the reality is there are several places where real precision is an absolute requirement.  That is not easy when you are in the middle of this project because it really is not until the very end when it all comes together both on the page and in your head!  It is at that point where you get to see how it all works together.  Did we have fun?  Oh yes!  Even though no one could turn the page different than the direction intended, nor flip one to a different side, we had fun!  And in the end everyone had the floral strip running across the front with the striped strip flowing totally across the inside pages!  Beautiful!  I think some of us thought it a miracle to be done!

It was just after the close of this workshop that we learned that my sister-in-law, Janet, had suffered a major heart attach and that began the many trips David and I have made to Oklahoma City and back.  Many of our scrap sisters have been following her progress and have included her in their prayers. Thank you.  I can't even begin to count the wonderful number of prayer chains there are for Janet.  And here is where we have seen real miracles.  http://prayersforjanet.blogspot.com/

Needless to say I've been negligent on posting but hope to make improvements and get caught up!
